| Global X Cloud Computing (CLOU) | -1.16% | 97 | 🔺 | 🔺 | 🔺 |
- All five leaders fell on Monday. That is a pause, not a break. Cybersecurity still holds the top three spots for a third day, and BUG is up +21.60% over one month. The two cloud funds slipped about -1.2% but still trade above all three averages.
Why They're Strong — Sector Issues

· Cybersecurity (BUG · IHAK · CIBR) — The group gave back part of Friday's jump. CrowdStrike fell -4.37%, Palo Alto Networks -3.57%, and Zscaler -3.40%. Okta lost -2.18%. We found no single headline behind the drop. After a one-month gain above +20%, it looks like profit-taking. BUG is still up +2.01% over five sessions.

· Cloud software (WCLD · CLOU) — Software slipped with the rest of tech. The iShares software fund (IGV) fell -1.23%. Shopify was the exception. It rose +4.90% to $179.22, a one-year closing high. Today's Top Rising Sectors TOP 5 (by 1-day %)
- Basis: top 5 by October 12 closing move — 43 of 129 rose on the day. RS ranks from the 'Sector RS (US)' sheet.
| ETF | 1-Day | RS Rank 1M | Short-Term | Mid-Term | Long-Term |
| iShares U.S. Medical Devices (IHI) | +2.03% | 83 | 🔺 | 🔺 | 🔽 |
| SonicShares Global Shipping (BOAT) | +1.95% | 96 | 🔺 | 🔺 | 🔺 |
| United States Oil Fund (USO) | +1.91% | 87 | 🔺 | 🔺 | 🔺 |
| SPDR S&P Oil and Gas Exploration and Production (XOP) | +1.45% | 73 | 🔺 | 🔺 | 🔺 |
| Energy Select Sector SPDR (XLE) | +1.43% | 82 | 🔺 | 🔺 | 🔺 |
- Four of the five come from oil: crude, producers, the energy sector, and the ships that carry it. IHI is the outlier. It still trades below its 1-year average, so its rally is younger than the others.
Why They Rose — Sector Issues

· Medical devices and health care (IHI · XLV · IHF) — Medtronic rose +3.90%, Boston Scientific +2.60%, Abbott +2.23%, and Stryker +1.90%. We found no single headline behind the move. The health care SPDR (XLV) gained +0.69% and the iShares health care providers fund (IHF) +0.72%. IHI's 1-month RS rank has jumped +37 points in five sessions.

Leading Sectors: Energy, Health Care, Consumer Staples
- ① Energy took the lead. Crude rose for a second session, and producers and tanker owners rose with it. Ships that carry crude earn more when supply routes look risky, so the tankers moved far more than oil itself.
- ② Defensive stocks drew the money. Coca-Cola rose +1.98%, Keurig Dr Pepper +3.12%, and Mondelez +2.28%. Walmart gained +1.55% and Costco +1.32%. The consumer staples SPDR is up +4.16% over five sessions. Investors bought steady earners while chips fell.
- ③ Chips took the hit. Micron fell -3.88% and Sandisk -5.97% on the CXMT news. AMD lost -2.28%, Broadcom -1.88%, and Nvidia -1.29%. SOXX is down -7.58% over five sessions. Meta was a bright spot in tech at +3.38%, after Mark Zuckerberg said its new AI model had caught up with the leading labs.
- ④ The last report covered the October 9 close. Its three picks, measured from that close to Monday's: Tenable -1.97%, Netskope -0.55%, and Shopify +4.90%. The S&P 500 fell -0.06% over the same session. Only Shopify beat the index, and it cleared the $179.01 checkpoint to a one-year closing high. The two security picks fell with the cyber pullback. Recorded as is.

DHT Holdings (DHT) — 1-Month RS 96: Supertanker Rates at Work

| RS 1D | RS 5D | RS 1M | 1M Return | Held By |
| 100 | 98 | 96 | +19.2% | SonicShares Global Shipping |
- Up +6.41% to $26.22, a one-year closing high, and +10.08% over five sessions. DHT owns a fleet of very large crude carriers, the supertankers that move about 2 million barrels per trip. Day rates for these ships passed $1 million in September as traffic near the Strait of Hormuz slowed. For the quarter ended June 30, shipping revenue rose to $284.8 million from $127.9 million a year earlier. Net income more than tripled to $198.3 million from $56.0 million, a record quarter for the company. The DHT Holdings stock forecast depends on whether day rates stay high once Middle East tension eases.
HCA Healthcare (HCA) — 1-Month RS 87: Hospitals Back in Demand

| RS 1D | RS 5D | RS 1M | 1M Return | Held By |
| 89 | 92 | 87 | +7.4% | iShares U.S. Healthcare Providers · Health Care Select Sector SPDR |
- Up +1.66% to $458.60, and +5.44% over five sessions. The stock is still well below its one-year closing high of $545.13 from March 9. HCA runs the largest chain of for-profit hospitals in the US. For the quarter ended June 30, revenue rose +8.7% to $20.23 billion from $18.61 billion, and adjusted earnings per share rose +11% to $7.59. Reports differ on whether the company raised or trimmed its full-year outlook in July. The HCA Healthcare stock forecast rests on its third-quarter report in late October, where patient volumes and the outlook will settle that question.
BJ's Wholesale (BJ) — 1-Month RS 90: A Warehouse Club Near Its High

| RS 1D | RS 5D | RS 1M | 1M Return | Held By |
| 83 | 94 | 90 | +9.1% | SPDR S&P Retail |
- Up +1.24% to $99.80, and +6.40% over five sessions. The one-year closing high is $102.78 from February 13. BJ's runs membership warehouse clubs on the East Coast, selling groceries, household goods, and gasoline in bulk. We found no company news on Monday. The stock rose with Costco and Walmart. For the quarter ended August 1, revenue rose +15.7% to $6.23 billion from $5.38 billion. Operating income climbed +16.6% to $252.4 million, and net income +15.4% to $173.9 million. The BJ's Wholesale stock forecast depends on whether shoppers keep trading toward bulk savings as prices stay high.
DHT Holdings · HCA Healthcare · BJ's Wholesale Stock Forecast Checkpoints
· DHT Holdings stock forecast — The stock is up +10.08% in five sessions. Watch whether it holds above $24.93, the October 8 closing high it just cleared. A drop below it would turn the breakout into a false start.
· HCA Healthcare stock forecast — The stock sits about 16% below its March high. Watch whether it holds above $451.09, Friday's close, into its late-October report. Losing that level would erase Monday's gain.
· BJ's Wholesale stock forecast — The stock is about 2.9% below its one-year high. Watch whether it closes above $102.78, February's closing high. A close above it would mark a breakout.
What to Watch on Next Week's Calendar
- Third-quarter earnings season kicks off, Tuesday October 13 (8:00 p.m. KST). JPMorgan, Wells Fargo, Citigroup, and Goldman Sachs report before the US open, along with Johnson & Johnson and UnitedHealth. Health care funds rose on Monday. The two health care reports will show whether that strength has earnings behind it, which matters for HCA.
- September CPI, Wednesday October 14 (9:30 p.m. KST). WTI is back above $93 a barrel. A hot reading would push yields higher and test the staples rally that lifted BJ's Wholesale.
- ASML and TSMC third-quarter results, Wednesday October 14 (2:00 p.m. KST) and Thursday October 15 (3:00 p.m. KST). SOXX is down -7.58% over five sessions. Their orders and guidance will show whether Monday's memory scare was a dip or a turn.
